Twelve people bearing eight telescopes scoured the clear dark sky for heavenly objects that have been obscured by the summertime clouds since late last spring. Scopes ranged in size from a 3? inch equatorial to an 18" dobsonian. There was essentially no wind, a manageable number of mosquitoes, and the relatively low air temperature kept the alligators safely in the water. Dew began to set in after midnight, and we all packed up and headed for home about 1AM.
