It looks like progress is being made, but it is still obviously an unsafe situation for the public.  So, due to the ongoing construction of a new ADA compliant sidewalk, Fox Observatory will once again be closed to the public this Saturday night.

New Sidewalk! Not Yet!

While we are excited at the prospect of the new sidewalk, it was agreed at the monthly membership meeting that it would be very unsafe for the public to be around the construction area.  So for the first time since Hurricane Wilma forced the county to restrict access to Markham park, Fox Observatory will yet again be closed this Saturday night, September 24, 2010.  We invite you to come see our new ADA compliant sidewalk once it has finally been completed and it is safe for the public to enter the building.  We will continually update the progress of the construction project (or lack thereof).

thanks,

The Board of Directors and Membership of the SFAAA
