Dear Bill: Thank you for contacting us. Lunar eclipses are one of those events where all you need is to be able to see the Moon. Light Polution will not affect it and just making sure that during the night the Moon will not go behind a tree or a construction (house building wall etc) you should be fine.
There is a nice summary of the event tonight here: http://www.space.com/25479-total-lunar-eclipse-2014-skywatching-guide.html
Just make sure you are warm and protected against mosquitoes. Don’t go to a place you feel unsafe. If you can stay in your own property even better. Have some good company, coffee and be comfortable since totality takes some time and you don’t want to miss it. Again thank you for contacting us and keep looking up!!
