Hello Karen: Thanks for sending us your question. The Full Moon of October is on Friday October 18th. The exact time of the Full Moon is at 7:38PM ET. Remember Saving Time only ends until Nov 3rd. The Moon will rise towards the East so if you are located near the beach in Sarasota, generally speaking when facing the sea you are looking West so you need to look in the opposite direction. Moon rises that day at 6:49 PM so make sure you have unobstructed view towards the East if you want to see Moonrise. You will also be able to experience a Penumbral Lunar eclipse at Moonrise.
